The Story: Step into a world of secrets and legends at the Cactus Cove Inn and Suites, a venue steeped in history and mystery. Once the home of the renowned treasure hunter Cornelius Covington, the inn holds whispers of a hidden treasure, including a locket the size of the Hope Diamond, Egyptian urns, tribal artifacts, Chinese relics, and Faberge eggs. The prized diamond, given to Cornelius’s wife Josephine, vanished after his death, sparking local legends and folklore. As wealthy treasure hunter Reginald arrives searching for these elusive artifacts, tensions rise. Suddenly, a shocking murder takes place, and the hunt for the missing treasure becomes a race against time. Can you uncover the truth behind the treasure and the murderer’s identity before it’s too late?

Dress Code: Guests are encouraged to come dressed in treasure hunt-themed attire. Whether you choose to don the look of a classic treasure hunter, a wealthy investor, an exotic artifact collector, or something else creative, let your outfit reflect the adventurous spirit of the event.

Location and Schedule: The event will occur at our partner location, Cactus Cove Inn and Suites, at 2501 Interstate 40 E, Amarillo, TX 79104. Please plan for the experience to last approximately 2.5 hours. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for check-in. Dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m. or as soon as all guests arrive.

Chef Bud, host of Chef Bud’s Table on KAMR 4, will prepare all meals.

What to Bring: Please bring a copy of your booking confirmation, either printed or on your phone, for check-in.

Game Style: This unique event blends a mystery dinner with an escape room. You will participate in acting and speaking parts and need to unlock boxes and investigate the clues inside them. Be prepared to move around, solve riddles, and engage with other guests. Collaboration is encouraged, as other guests will have verbal clues essential for advancing through the game.
